The 40km route runs from Sevenoaks through Plaxtol to East Peckham and back past Shipbourne.

From the start the route is the same as the Grand Circuit of Kent to Puttenden Manor cross roads where the Petit route divides, continuing towards Hadlow before turning right to Stallions Green, Pittswood and Poultwood Golf course.Crossing the A26 with care the Petit continues on flat family friendly roads via Golden Green to the outskirts of East Peckham where the Mini, Petit and Grand routes merge and follow the same roads, including the iconic Carter’s Hill to the finish at the Sevenoaks Prep School at Godden Green.

80km route

The 80km route runs from Sevenoaks through West Malling, down to Claygate and back through Hadlow.

Following the same route as the Grand Circuit of Kent to the route split at Claygate, there is a ‘Feed Station’ soon after this in Churn Lane. After this you face a moderate climb to Brenchley with a great view north across the Garden of England toward Paddock Wood from the top. It is now a moderate but fast descent, thereafter mainly flat roads via the Hop Farm at Paddock Wood and East Peckham [Mini Circuit of Kent rejoins here] to the village of Hadlow. With some 17kms to the finish the road crosses the A227 at Shipbourne and the gradient increases gradually until you reach the hamlet of Underriver where the road climbs steeply up Carters Hill with just 3kms to go! Have you left enough in reserve not to walk it? At the top of Carters Hill it is largely downhill for the final 1km to the finish.

130km route

An extension to the 80km route continuing from Claygate to Three Chimneys and back through Sissinghurst and Curtisden Green to rejoin the shorter route at Claygate.

Leaving the start at Sevenoaks Prep school the route soon reaches the hamlets of Stone Street and Dunks Green [Mini Circuit of Kent splits here] before climbing up Roughway Hill providing a great view across the Kentish countryside from the top.Continuing via Offham (note the ancient Jousting pole on the green) to West Malling, an attractive market town, then to East Malling, after which a long steady climb precedes a sharp descent to cross the A26, then the railway lines and the river Medway at Wateringbury before climbing again up Gower Hill and Smart’s Hill before a fast sweeping descent to the beautiful village of Yalding where the route crosses the river Medway via the old pack horse bridge. You will be on level roads to Claygate where the 130km and 80km routes divide.Continuing on quiet level roads through beautiful countryside that will be showing early signs of Autumn, the fruit trees still laden, via Staplehurst to the ‘Feed Station’ at Frittenden and then to Biddenden and Sissinghurst before returning to Frittenden where there is the opportunity to take on more refreshments. After a short and surprisingly sharp climb up to Curtisden Green it is downhill to Claygate where you will join the Petit Circuit of Kent route to the finish …..
