Friends of Loop
Thanks to those who have been 'friends of Loop' and contributed financially over the years. Having this support has kept the club running, for which I am grateful. The FOL worked in the beginning, but the dedicated section of the website, with discounts and routes, added an extra element that I had to maintain, and at present keeping the Sunday club rides running is enough work.
As a result, I have cancelled the Friends of Loop subscription, so no further payments will be taken from your account in the future.
There is a gap in the finances, to cover elements such as British Cycling club insurance and website running costs, which is being covered by me personally for the time being (approximately £700 per year). In order to recover these costs, I kindly ask for a small donation from those who ride regularly. I will be bringing a card reader on the rides and would appreciate your donation.
The Sunday Rides and evening midweek rides will continue throughout the summer. Updates will follow on how these will be run, including getting rid of the Eventbrite sign up, which I am sure you will appreciate!
